Information for Students

Attendance and Tardy Policies

• If you arrive after 8:30, you may not leave during lunch that day.
• If you are late after lunch, you lose open lunch privileges and you have to stay in the building for the rest of the term.
• If you have multiple tardies, you will have an administrative intervention.
• After 5 absences on non-consecutive days, you will need to attend a support meeting.
• After 8 absences on non-consecutive days, you will have to participate in an attendance contract.
• After 5 absences on consecutive days, you will be dropped from the roll.

Behavior Expectations

All behavior expectations can be found in the MNPS student-parent handbook.

Dress Code - What Not to Wear

• No see-through clothing of any kind.
• No form-fitting or body-con style clothing (dresses, bike shorts, tights, leggings, etc.).
• No rips, tears, or holes that expose the chest, midriff, backside, or thigh area.
• No clothing with profanity, indecent references, tobacco, alcohol, or drugs.
• No hats, hoods, du-rags, hair bonnets, pajama pants, blankets, or bandanas worn on campus.
• No sagging.

Cell Phone Procedures

• The phone will be stored in a Yondr pouch and not accessed during instructional time.
• You should communicate with your teacher about any special situations or circumstances when you’ll need access to your phone.
• Provide the school number as your place to be reached during school hours: 615-298-2294.
• Violation of the cell phone policy will result in disciplinary action.

Student Parking

• Students enter and leave the building through the front of the building.
• Students park on the side of the building.
• There is no early dismissal after 1:30 p.m.
